Window Tinting for Escondido Drivers

The hottest summers we serve. The film to match.

Heat-rejecting window tint for Escondido cars, installed indoors at our Miramar shop. Legal shades explained before you choose.

Tint for Escondido heat.

Escondido runs hotter in summer than any other city we cover. Sun through the glass heats the seats, the dash and the steering wheel long before the A/C catches up. Heat-rejecting film on the rear doors, quarter glass and back glass stops part of that sun before it reaches the cabin, in any shade you choose behind the driver.

Up front, California is strict. The front side windows need at least 70 percent of light through, glass and film combined, so they take only very light film. The windshield takes a non-reflective strip across the top 4 inches. We tell you what is legal on which window and show you the films on real glass in the shop.

Why we tint in the shop, not in your driveway.

Our glass work is mobile. Tint is not. Film goes on indoors at our Miramar shop, where a clean bay, the right slip solution and a proper squeegee keep bubbles and specks out. Escondido sits on I-15, and the shop is off Miramar Road between the 15 and the 805, about 19 miles by road.

Already have tint that turned purple or bubbled? Dyed film does that. We steam and scrape the old film off before the new one goes on, and carbon or ceramic film holds its color. See window tinting for the full service.

What the 70 percent rule means in practice

Factory glass is not perfectly clear to begin with, so the 70 percent limit on the front side windows leaves room for only very light film. That is why most of the heat work on an Escondido car happens on the rear doors, quarter glass and back glass. If you want the front windows done, we show you which films pass on your glass before anything is cut.
