What quarter glass is.
On most sedans and SUVs it is the triangular or curved fixed pane behind the rear door. On some vehicles it is the small vent window at the front of the door. Either way it is tempered glass, usually bonded into a frame or the body with urethane, sometimes clipped into a molding. Break-ins take it out because it is small and out of the way.
How the replacement goes.
The technician clears the broken glass and the old urethane, cleans and primes the frame, and bonds the new pane in place. On clipped designs the molding is refitted. Cure time is explained before you drive. It is one of the quicker jobs we do, and it costs the same at your curb as in the shop.
