Window Tinting for El Cajon Drivers
El Cajon summers are hot. Your back seat does not have to be.
Heat-rejecting window film in California-legal shades, installed indoors at our Miramar shop, about 18 miles from El Cajon.

Window tint for an inland car.
El Cajon summers run more than ten degrees hotter than the bay. A car parked in that sun soaks it up through every pane of glass. Heat-rejecting film on the rear doors, quarter glass and back glass cuts down what gets through, and the back seat is the first place you feel it.
The front side windows are where most people want tint and where California allows the least: at least 70 percent of light through, glass and film combined. Behind the driver, any shade is legal with dual side mirrors. We tell you what passes on each window before you choose.
How a tint job goes.
Bring the car to 9275 Trade Pl, off Miramar Road between the 15 and the 805. You pick a shade from film on real glass. We cut the film to the edge of each pane, set it wet and squeegee it out, with no bubbles and no gaps. Then the windows stay up for a couple of days while the film cures.
Film type matters in El Cajon heat. Dyed film can fade and turn purple. Carbon and ceramic films hold their color. Our window tinting carries the same lifetime workmanship warranty as our glass.
The rest comes to you
Tint is the one job we do only in the shop. A chip, a cracked windshield or a window stuck down is mobile in El Cajon at no extra cost: see windshield repair in El Cajon, car window repair in El Cajon or our El Cajon page.
Bringing the car in from El Cajon
El Cajon sits on I-8, and the shop is about 18 miles away by road. Plan to leave the car with us while the film goes on, or stay in the waiting room. Old film comes off first with steam and a scraper, so a car with bubbled tint is not a problem. When you pick it up, keep the windows rolled up for a couple of days.
